The Anchor, situated in Kippford, a lovely wee sailing village in south west Scotland,
has great bed & breakfast facilities and good food.

Its most remarkable attribute is the friendly pub, serving a range of real ales
(including many from the local Sulwarth Brewery).

Kippford is well-known as a place for walking and cycling,
and is located near Dumfries, Kirkcudbright, Dalbeattie, Colvend, New Abbey (including the lovely Sweetheart Abbey), and Southerness.
Slightly further afield are Ayr (with its golf course at Troon, and Prestwick Airport), Edinburgh and Glasgow.
